About Us
New England Hyperbaric Oxygen was founded on the principle that every cell needs oxygen in order to create energy for healthy function and regeneration. It started as support to our functional neurology practice for treating brain injuries and concussions, but soon developed into treatments for many neurological conditions, injury recovery, post-surgical recovery, migraines, headaches, chronic pain, inflammation, lyme, wellness, and so on, as our education and training in the field expanded. Our goal is to provide Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) options at an affordable rate so that patients can experience the remarkable healing power of HBOT. There are a lot of start-up clinics and home usage that are not supported by trained doctors, and just as in any healthcare practice, it is important to have knowledgeable practitioners that can direct your care for optimal and safe results.

Dr. Aaron MacArthur, DC, DACNB, FABVR, FABBIRFunctional Neurologist (medical director/owner)Dr. Aaron MacArthur is a board certified functional neurologist with additional fellowships in concussion and traumatic brain injury as well as in vestibular disorders (vertigo and dizziness). He has attended many courses in the diagnosis and treatment of migraines/headaches, pain, autonomic nervous system dysfunction (POTS, orthostatic intolerance, etc.), and spinal pain/disorders. He is also a doctor of chiropractic neurology at Portland Chiropractic Neurology and teaches across the country in the field of neurology. He was awarded Chiropractor of the year in 2022 by the Maine state chiropractic association and is vice president of the MCA.

Dr. Scott SherrMD (internist/HBOT specialist)Dr. Scott Sherr is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician Certified in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) and Health Optimization Medicine (HOMe). He is the founder of Integrative HBOT, a worldwide telemedicine practice where he consults, educates patients and clinics using his novel approach to hyperbaric therapy that includes cutting edge and dynamic HBOT protocols, comprehensive laboratory testing (using the HOMe framework), targeted supplementation, personal practices, synergistic technologies (new and ancient), and more. He is a consultant for NEHO and is not directly accessible for patients.
