Long-Covid (post-COVID)
Many of the symptoms associated with long-covid are varied, but there is a strong autonomic dysregulation component. Long COVID is associated with diverse symptoms, such as fatigue, myalgias, dyspnea, headache, cognitive impairment, neurodegenerative symptoms, anxiety, depression, and a sense of despair(3). Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has been shown to be a very effective tool in the treatment of long-covid through its ability to restore autonomic function, decrease inflammation, improve detoxification, modulate immune response, mobilize stem cells and other growth factors essential in healing, along with supersaturating hypoxic tissue up to 1200% with plasma dissolved oxygen.

“…A large cohort of patients suffer from long COVID or post-COVID-19 syndrome after recovery from their acute infection with no effective treatment options. HBOT is a safe treatment and may provide benefit for this population and should continue to be researched for adjunctive treatment of long COVID.”
