Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) has been shown to have tremendous impacts on post-surgical healing. Research shows that performing HBOT prior to surgery as well improves surgical outcomes.
Clinically, we see patients experiencing substantial improvements in healing time and quality of healing. When HBOT is performed prior to surgery, it significantly reduces inflammation and swelling while improving circulation and oxygenation of tissues, providing faster healing with less pain.
It has also been shown to reduce infection, which is a major concern during any surgical intervention, adding to the effectiveness of surgery when HBOT is applied as an adjunctive therapy.
